Bit of a problem....
I have an old SIP welder which works fine for me but recently the gas would continue to flow after releasing the button and I found a way to tap it or wind the wire back which would get it to stop. Could live with that.
Anyway I ran out of gas last week. Got a new (600g) bottle from Halfords and now have the reverse problem: can't get gas to come out.
I've had the handle apart and nothing wrong in there but the button on the brass box is very stiff to push in and even when I do nothing comes out.
I have a spare handle and the button on that is much easier to push in so could swap the handles over but it's a bit of a pain to do
Has anyone had this issue before?
I'm wondering if there is too much pressure in the bottle and it's somehow blocking the flow
