Gas flow problems

Hey all

I have a Neweld NW105m mig that i use for bits and pieces on my car.
Recently ive been having a few issues, and have been getting really poor welds.
Ive narrowed it down to a gasflow problem, as when i depress the trigger on the handpiece i get a good pssshhh of gas and then it tapers off a second later to nearly nothing, meaning i just get a whole lot of popping and no nice clean weld.
Im using a disposable co2/argon mix which usually produces good welds.
I realise my mig is a cheaper one, and when i have a little more money i will get a better one but would like to get this running again.
Any ideas on why the gas is doing this would help

Disposable gas regulators are notoriously inconsistent. A friend of mine used to have one which needed to be turned full on to get anything out of it and he used to turn it off between tacks as it leaked the gas away at an alarming rate otherwise.

Brand new cylinder yesterday. It vents gas fine out the reg if its disconnected from the machine, so think the reg is ok.

ahh very odd. i would try a different cylindar if not then unscrew the unions on the gas valve and blow gas lines out with airline. it will probably have a white flakey powdery substance in the line.
failing that you could try a new gas valve?!

just thought, are you definately pulling the trigger the entire way?! i no with my cebora you must ensure the trigger is fully depressed!

Hi...also have Neweld but bought second hand and need help with repairing it...can you advise me please who are agents for them in New Zealand

Isolate the problem by removing the tube to the reg. Turn it on and if it gushes out its working.

Also, look at the trigger. Mine recently seemed to stick after being sat in the cold garage. Depress trigger a bunch of times and see if that helps.
