Hi, i tried using the search engine but cant seem to find anything
how do i make sure that the gas bottle is empty before i start to cut/weld
and make sure that i have some eyebrows left after lol
I have cut quite a few bottles without even the slightest problem,I remove the valve and fill with water, leave over-night,then empty. Immediately before cutting I blow them out for a couple of minutes with the compressor air-line inserted almost to the bottom of the bottle.then just cut, either with plasma or cutting disc,As already mentioned the residual smell of "gas" is just an added odour that seems to permeate the surface of the metal etc.
well i will be using a disc and was a bit afraid of losing the eyebrows as this is me 1st big project like this lol
out of curiosity why put the water and air in the bottle im guessing just to make sure its empty of gas ?
