Gas hob connection which I need to disconnect tomorrow- Is this a bayonet connection and will it just come apart and self seal?

Yes, it’s a micropoint bayonet, twist and pull

Great, thanks - new cooker will be electric so this will not be needed - is it safe to just leave it live with nothing connected to it or does it need capping?

Should really be capped as it’s a self seal, so in theory susceptible to heat from the new cooker
