What experiences do any of you Guys have with those Green Metal Sheds around the £400 mark for a 10x6 or 8x6 any where around that area. Ie build quality are they any good etc. …. My old wooden shed has rotted and I need a new replacement to put odds and ends and garden tools in...Now my old wooden one I have had for ages needs every so often to have the roofing felt replaced so that's why Im thinking metal ??????????

dont bother wood all the way
i had a metal one burn your hands on it when it hot hot inside in the summer sliding doors never work well even from new and after a few years start to rust and you cant fix them (or its hard as the metal is paper thin and you need to hold it down as there is no weight to it wood will just stay put
edit as above forgot to add that likes to rain inside as well water droplets all over the roof 2/3 of the year and any thing in side rusts due to the condensation
yes i had one did not have it for long was given it by a family member he had from new and he allways moaned about the same problems dont even know why i took it but it was free and done me for 6 months untill i got a wood one and then replaced

go wooden, far less condensation, nicer, easier to hang tools etc. on the walls, put a plastic coated steel, roof on it if and when you can blag some off cuts, keep an eye on local construction sites, the loads of sheets often come with cover sheets (seconds)

I've got one with a hinged door. Rather than the screws I built with pop rivets so quite sturdy. Metal is bean tin thickness. No floor comes with the kits. Condensation is terrible. I'm giving mine away when I get "roundtuit" making a wooden version.

I put one up in our garden about 15 years ago and one at the in-laws about 13 years ago and they are both okay for what they are.
They are both only about 6'W x 4'L used to store garden stuff. Very thin tin and you obviously get condensation in them. Neither of them leak but both are showing a bit of rust starting on the bottom sliding door track.
Wouldn't want to use one to work in though.

My neighbour sold his wooden shed and ordered a metal one, even though I told him he'd egret it. Well it arrived in kit form with instructions in some unidentified language. He had to get someone in to assembly it. It makes noises as it heats up and cools down. It's like a torture box inside when it's sunny and then in the evening it drips water as condensation forms. The bloke who put it up also put some shelves up.Yep, the screws came through the sides and the bloke's disappeared. The doors stick and mice get in the gaps. He's looking at wooden sheds again.
Another down vote for the tinfoil sheds 
My mate got one against my advice, the first time the wind was more than a gentle breeze and it was ruined. Someone then gave him another one which was also a bit wonky and made one stronger one out of the two, moved it to a very sheltered spot in the garden and uses it for storage now. However is still suffers from condensation and the doors always jam.
Meanwhile he's built a wooden shed in the original location to use as a workshop....

Dont waste your money,sheets are thinner than fag paper,put a couple up for others in the past,horrid things
I put one up as a favour for a neighbour ,, made out of tin foil or very near it , no floor was a pain , and as mentioned the doors are tragic , took ages to put up , but it was surprisingly solid and sturdy when it was put up .. would I buy one ,,, NO .

Also as the metal is so thin it can slice skim easily so gloves need to be worn, then making it impossible to pick up the tiny bolts and nuts. Oh and if you attempt to assemble in even a slight breeze the panels will bend and kink.
Have you considered a 10ft container?

I've a metal shed. While the sheet metal is very thin, its quite sturdy once its all assembled (don't tighten the screws up fully until it is all together). However, the condensation is horrendous. I stuck polystyrene to the surfaces, and its still wet. If I did it again, I'd use wooden stud frame with UPVC weatherboarding and twin-wall polycarbonate roof, like what I did for my garage lean-to.

Thanks for all the info ,It seems every one agrees to go to wood and when the felt disintegrates replace it with a different type of material for the roof,Plastic corrugated alloy etc.I never gave condensation a second thought. So Wood it is.
