Garden drainage?

I trying to work out - how to quickly sift thru them on OS maps - how high above sea level they are...?

Tilted view on google earth works well for that, you can add elevation lines too. In some areas the ariel photos are good enough to see things like trampolines and paddling pools in the neighbouring gardens, It doesn't bother me but I could imagine the drone of a hot tub pump and a squeeky trampoline for hours on end could get to some people.

Our hot tub pump is about 3ft below ground and no noises are audible from it, however the giggles and squeals from the bikini clad bevvies enjoying the warm bubbly water can be annoying.

Personally, it's the bubbles that get to me...nice and relaxing if it weren't for the 179db bubbles

Garden drainage can be connected to house drains to alleviate waterlogging
, but it must typically connect to the surface water system (rainwater), not the foul sewage system, to avoid overloading drains and violating regulations. A perforated pipe (land drain) is laid in gravel-filled trenches, sloped at 1:150 to a suitable outlet.

please use a trap to connect to the rainwater drain pipe as it does act as a collector for debris and keeps the smells away from normal exposure

I'm adding a drain to the front gate, we have a smimming pool whenever it rains, it'll go to a silt trap and then to the sewer.
Same for the motor housing for the electric gate. Very acceptable.

we dont have anything small enough...might have gotten away using a spider crane, but a 40 tonner draws some attention when its rigged in the road

why the float switch as its not needed

as goes for manhole well thats a yes in some cases as the main sewer drain is one pipe from the house but not always

the reason why you dont connect into the soil pipe toilet pipe is it can back up when blocked and thats when you get floating toilet stuff in your garden

however both the soil stack and drain can connect together on the same line pipe or via a manhole split into 2 or 3 pipes its just the soil stack inline pipe that you dont connect too due to the back up issue but many systems are connected this way

and that makes the claim that you cant connect to the soil pipe a load of cods wallop ( b.s ) which ever way you want to say it

You can Google the street name and ask how high it is above Ordinance Datum (believe that is sea level on OS maps?).

This map from the Gov.uk site may be useful - can switch between flood zones or surface water using the key on the left side...
Nicely shows where the highest risk places are...

The manhole is the one that you construct to house the float-switched pump that evacuates the drainings from the garden trench system.
Nothing to do with any other drainage system at all....
Connecting that system to the foul system is not a good thing to do......
