Garage on separate meter. Tariffs and ev charging.

Our garage is a lock-up on a nearby street. Electricity is on a separate meter and contract to the house. We've always had a low use (expensive) tarif there, plus a separate standing charge - but now we've got an electric car to charge.... Anyone have any arrangements with providers to get a lock up on the same tariff or contract as the house?

First thing to check is how much VAT your being charged as long as the garage is solely for private use that should only be charging 5%.

I have seen a number of times where people have been charged 20% on such properties.

can you get an E7 type tarrif on it?

setup a time to only charger the car overnight when the power is cheap?

Vat is 5% on the bills. Haven't managed to get dual rate yet though....
