I have got a tall new tin box with a lid, When i get round to it i will turn it into a trap with a cantilever drawbridge to drop them into the tin when tempted by the pasta and maybe a little chocolate, This is turning into a proper cat and mouse game,
Yep my Moggy a year ago was the best thing ive done in taking care of these mice around here...The trooper must catch 3 to 5 a week and nicely presented on the back door step tooWe have a couple of semi-feral cats living at the stables, from the evidence they leave, they kill mice, rats, rabbits and pigeons.

The biggest problem with poison is that it gets into the food chain and then poisons untargetted species. This can include Birds of Prey, cats, ferrets and some dogs.i have used rentokill fast action mouse killer boxes with good results link:http://www.rentokil.co.uk/mice/diy-products/
most don't even make it out the box before they've dropped dead.
just make sure it's in clear area of a couple of feet sq that you can reach and dispose of the dead bodies or they might crawl away and die somewhere else and get a bit smelly!
That reminds me of when I worked in the timber yard, there was no fridge in the tea hut so we just used to leave the glass bottle of milk on the side in the winter.
I came in late for my cup of tea, the three other guys were sat drinking there tea as I waited for the kettle to boil. As I poured the milk into the cup I spouted a dark shadow in the bottle, I swirled the milk around and a drowned mouse pressed itself up against the side of the bottle, "ere there's a dead mouse in the milk" was greeted by the sound of mouthfuls of tea being spat across the room followed by lots of retching and gagging!

.
It's a trap that electrocutes the mouse and lights up to indicate that it has killed.
I like the "safe to use around pets (except rodent pets)" in the description. Are the rodents smarter than the users?Wot, bit like a Pinball Machine?

Traps are better than poison. If you poison they can crawl off to an inaccessible cavity to die and then you can get smell / maggots etc.
HaHa thats a cracker mate...my little fella hand deliverd another mouse today, untill i let the missus get this mog ive hated cats all my life and how un-educated i was...they are amazing creatures and dont need anyone to live happy unlike big daft soppy dogs that want to lick you 24/7just for Roofman
We have a herd of 9 or 10 deer that stroll though now and then. It is humorous to see Our cat stalking one of them. I think He needs spectacles badly.
