I'm thinking of rebuilding my garage next year at the moment it's a sectional garage that I have extended and put a apex roof on it, but really it's not up for the jobs I do inside.
So I am thinking or pulling it all down and building a breeze block garage in its place the same size and height but more soild now I'm not a builder so please go easy on me
My garage stands in at 7meters long and 4 meters wide and almost 3 meters high plus the apex roof I have an up and over door which will be replaced with a roller shutter one (I hope) anyway I have a few questions.
what is the best breeze block to use ? looking in b+q they have 3 or 4 different blocks price goes from £1.20 each to almost £2 a block (I might not buy from them just trying to get a idea of cost) now I'll be using metal rsj's (not huge ones) for the roof/walls supports so with the side wall being 7 meters long how many supports will I have to put in (to put the rsj's on) 2 or 3, I wont be putting weight on the rsj's other then the roof it's self
the roof will have a metal frame (it's all wood at the mo) so I'm thinking 4 apex sections then crossed braced with the roof sheets bolted on and maybe some form of insulating and some plaster board to help keep things dry/warm inside.
so will all this work ?
