You need to be mindful of reflections off reflective material...polished stainless could be problematic. But you've almost always got the torch pointing away from you. The beam becomes defocused over a relatively short distance but will still set wood alight in a fraction of a second at 12ft.. Eye protection always worn.what about reflections and 'stray beams' say working on a bench would it go below the bench and frazzle your leg? or cut kitty in half?
