Galvanisers for a single part

Called a couple of places to strip and regalvanise a single small heatshield for my car restoration, but none in the south east interested. Don't blame them when they are working by the ton probably, but does anyone know a place that might be interested ?
The part is no longer available or I'd just buy a new one, but its for a near-concours restoration so want to get.
It's virtually identical to this and approx 60cm x 40cm in size.

I can't imagine something looking like that when it went in, would come out looking like that when it came out - it'd be warped and twisted in all directions.

You might have to accept a sprayed on finish.

Yake it to a local chromers and get it zinc plated,
Thats probably the original finish on it.

Hot dip galv will wreck it! If it's small it won't matter coz likely or not they will loose it if it's not wired to something bigger lol

Cold galv spray or plating as already mentioned. Cold galv spray is said to be 70 % as effective or greater. If it's getting a top coat of paint anyway that's the route I should take - plated if not

Definitely zinc passivate rather than hot dip galv as said above.You can have gold or bright silver ,I had some nuts bolts and brackets done for a motorbike restro and was quite cheap.

Zinc sulphate is about 12quid a kilo on the bay.
Mix with water and you could electroplate it yourself .
Basically like electrolytic rust removal cept you'd need a lump of zinc as the anode (die cast toy cars are a good source-modern ones can be had for 10p each at the car boot)

I dug out the part in question and here's a couple of pics. I took this to be some galvanised treatment. So they maybe treated a flat sheet and then stamped them out ?
The one in the first post will be a new part ( now NLA ) and seems to have a different treatment ( bright zinc plate ? ) and would be good. Was just unaware galvanising would be a non-starter for this.

I had some vehicle components zinc plated by RCJ Metal Finishers (www.chromeplaters.co.uk) just outside the M25 at Hoddesdon north of London. They did a nice job with a few days turnaround and the price was reasonable. They'd be worth calling if that's nearby for you.
