fusion 360

just wondering if there is anyway to take a 3d model in fusion 360 and turn into either a first or 3rd angle drawing with dimensions?

been sent a file that has a model made by a friend of a frame he wants welding up etc, he said he has modelled it to actual dimensions so if i could press a button and get a drawing it would be awesome

then i can tell him how much steel to buy and i can weld it up without faffing about using the inspect tool to get each dimension and do my own drawing

i have seena fe wof his, only really watch the fusion ones as its the only program i have. will see if he has anything that looks like its what i want

Don't no much about Fusion 360 and how it works but use this site for cad stuff. Might have to do a bit of searching though.

I'm not familiar with it but there might be "standard views" that show it from the front/top/side, and another option to use parallel projection, rather than perspective. I'm only guessing that will be possible, that's how Sketchup does it. I don't know about adding dimensions though.

i can view it from various sides etc, but cant find a way to just print a drawing that shows, front, side and top etc

Is there any way of changing the workspace in fusion? Only going on what I know from "normal" cad but you can select 3D Modelling or AutoCAD Classic from the workspace dropdown menu to switch between 3D and 2D

no, it just has options for cad, cam, patch, render etc

You need to generate a sketch I think from the part.
