Work bench for the garage?

I just bought 20of 5ft x 9in x 3/4in steel plate - enough to keep me in workbench tops forever.

Ive done quite a bit of electronics bodgery often involving epoxy to seal things up. It never sticks well to pvc insulation and that joint is always where water gets in, if its used outside.
