Ok so being a stero typical scot who has hair as red as it comes and skin as white as a sheet an no ablity to tan whatever but the ablity to turn into a lobster if i even see a sniff of sunshine i have been starting to look into the idea of getting a full brim hard hat for work. I have recently resorted to taking my own hard hat to work with me as the company ones are the cheapest rubish they can lay thier hands on and they are so so uncomfortable its not true, you wear them for any time and you get head aches etc etc. The uvtex one i got was a revalation and can wear it all day and not even notice it and i dont particularly like wearing hats of any kind im just one of those people. But this has thrown up the issue of which has materialized before and its about time i do something about it that i get a lot of sunburn on my neck, ears and face on the occasions i work out side (i travel sunny places for work usually at somepoint) i do put sun cream on but it of course dosent last for ever and i forget to reapply it because im a bit of a (ill let you all finish that). Im willing to look like an american if it will get me some protection but i work for a european company albeit at sea and i have no idea as to whether or not full brim hard would comply with our safety legislation, you dont even seem to be able to get them in the uk so any pointers as to where i might find it or dose anybody know this info off hand.
