Recommended to have a 12mths worth size. But as you say practicalities are another issue.

Usually now is the time. But during Covid it went to 18p in March! Missed it as my old tank was condemned. New tank was in service at 40p. The Ukraine/Russia situation will have more influence than seasonal now.

I'd use blocks and concrete lintels rather than steel frame though. Regs are 100mm min oversize on perimeter.
Be careful. The various eu countries that have agreed to stop using Russian gas and oil are due to increase storage soon. Yes the airlines are still on low demand (probably one of the main reasons the prices are low).
Add to this the winter increases are due to kick in in less than a month?
Fingers crossed for you though, I chickened out last week, bought 1500ltrs, room for another 500, if it drops significantly.

Speaking of burning body fat... My dad would use the fat of animals as a starter for getting the wood boiler oging in the olden days. Had farmer friends and got a lot of waste animal fat like that.

There was an article I read somewhere that said something along the lines of there being sufficient energy in the fat stores of the average British adult to walk from Land's End to John o'Groats. Damned if I can find the article, though there is a Nature paper that concludes the calorific value of a 66kg adult human body is over 125,000 Calories.
If walking a mile uses 100 Calories, that's a lot of miles!!!

Now, I'm not suggesting trying to walk all that way, eating nothing, and only drinking water, is something that should be tried, as you would shrink to nothing, or more likely die en route. The energy content of 1kg of fat is 9,000 Calories, so enough to walk 90 miles!

Yes that's the problem....sixpence..half crown time...(sorry for pre-decimal idiom)Yesterday I was quoted 83.95, has been dropping little by little over the last few weeks.
Only have a 1200l tank too.
I don't know how long I can hold out from ordering, I have some left in there but it's more whether my nerves can take it

I am in the same boat. Hence we spending every baking hot weekend cutting up wood. Got another 6 full pallets to get through. I made myself quite ill on Sunday - think I had heat stroke. Flipping weather in Wales it is either 30C and baking or heavy rainYesterday I was quoted 83.95, has been dropping little by little over the last few weeks.
