Just returned from a small meeting with the MIS who own the press.
The plan?
When they can, at shows, press fruits and sell the juice to the shows guest.
But, the plan, I am stepping back and only getting involved in any work they can not do in house.
Muslin cloth bags, that can bee sealed and will fit or be made to fit.
Replace the wooden parts with beech, sealed with Bee's wax and linseed oil.
All fixings to be replaced with SS, a expense they are happy to pay for.
The base, will be striped of paint and the weld looked at. If needed, it will be welded again, filled and finished with food grade white paint.
The rest of the metal work will also be painted.
The feet will be given a rubber glued on foot.
Thanks to all those who gave a input.
Yes, they could buy a new one, but this can be repaired with items they have. It will be give members a chance to do something new.
Plus a chance to raise funds for the Shed.
If their members wish to press fruit to make a adult drink, they will have to do it at their own house.
