Hi Norm, All alignment checks done with now tyres fitted correct pressures and nuts tight,I leaned on the tyre while showing the"Muppet" the direction arrow on the sidewall, Despite the tread being obviously directional he maintained they were for fitting in either direction,That is when he said I would break the bolts because they were not tight, Fortunately the guy doing the alignment check knew what he was doing, On first arriving at the tyre place I told them I wanted to keep the two rear tyres. When I looked around at the end of the job the rears had vanished, found them on the pile they sell as part worn.Needless to say they went in my boot and I flogged them to a local small shop. Only reason I went to this place is because their prices are really rock bottom. Four tyres, valves and balance with free alignment check £580-00. For the same make and size from a major northeastern dealer the price quoted was £960-00 and from a different branch of the same dealer the price was £640-00, Are they just plucking numbers out of a hat or what,
