I can't move in the garage for the damned things (had a shed collapse at the bottom of the garden so everything ended up in the garage )..

I think most of us have the tool thing here ! My Snap-On roll cab and top box are in the hall way !! And it's almost as tall as me ! Then I have reserve tools at my mums place and a friends workshop ! Also, I keep my knives in miniature Snap-On cabs !

Home wife, farm wife and matey wife. They are all good mates. If I made a wrong move all three would kick my teeth in. Cool.
I also have three Opinels, lovely steel, but not exciting to look at.

Oh I, owned one or two instruments in my time , best bass I ever owned was this Bass Collection, lovely instrument active pickups, low action with a fresh set of Rotosounds super funkeys in it would almost play itself, Had a very nice RB250 Ibanez as well at the time, Floyd rose locking trem again a pleasure to use, had a proper 80s heavy metal look,



Haven't played an electric instrument in 10 years or more enjoy the freedom of bluegrass/folk scene , pick up an instrument meet in a pub and have 20+ people picking or playing, cant happen when everyones lugging instruments, Cabs P/As effects racks etc etc. Now only have 2 beaten up Encore full Acoustics and My main Gibson Mastertone clone Jap Goldstar 5 string, become quite Bohemian in my older age

This thread reminded me of the Jazz, Rock and Pop course I did at the local Tech College waaaay back when.
At the same time on the course was a local guitarist (from Hartlepool) who could play the hell out of six strings but couldn't read sheet music and as he was trying to get more session work he needed to be able to decipher the funny lines and wiggles. He brought in a guitar that his mate was hand-carving for him; it was inspired by ecclesiastical architecture and had lines of Norman and gothic arches. Nice bit if kit.
Anyway, we did the course, went our ways and up until last night I hadn't really given him another thought.
Then I Googled him. It turns out he's gone on to be a rather well-known and respected backing player, having gigged and toured with one or two (ahem) big names... search for Greg Bone if you're bored.

Found a couple of pics of my Precision... not the best ones unfortunately, I've obviously had some out of the album and not replaced them
Hiscox flightcase was expensive but I blagged a free T-shirt
The scratchplate wasn't fitted by the factory: apparently several people played the guitar whilst it was for sale and all commented that it'd have been better if it had a scratchplate, so the shop 'mechanic' chopped this one from a Jazz or Telecaster or something, I forget... anyway when I bought it I asked if they had one without the scratchplate as I'd have preferred it 'naked'. Sadly not, but I bought it anyway. I'd love to have that bass back, should never have sold it...
