Search for a thermostat for the make/model you have online.
Chances are it's only a few quid, so worth a punt, and if it's a commonly used type, there will be aftermarket ones
(I got one for my ancient fridge for £13 recently, worked just fine)
I did that when my oven died. I was on the cusp of buying a brand new one, £300 ++, when some kind soul pointed me in the direction of a parts website..... where I bought a new heating element for about £15 and that did the trick. It took less than an hour to install.
