It's for bending rebar really. Needed an outdoor vice I can stick long legths of rebar in to bend.
I have a design for a simple vice mounted rebar bending thing. I had to make up a couple of hoops for a neighbours garden, just lightweight 12mm, thick as your finger. Trying to wrestle a 4m long length of rebar in a 2m wide shed was not a task I ever want to have to try again.
It's portable/movable because I can't decide exactly where it should go, needs at least 3m clear space on one side, ideally both...
It still needs a couple of nips and tucks. Side braces to stop fwd/bwd rocking and a little bracket to connect the bottom of the vice post.
<edit> and a little steel shelf on top. More horizontal spaces, more better.
