i went on saturday! if anyone on here is planning a visit, give me a shout, im all of 5 minutes from the place and the kettles on 
its a real shame the place is closing, but personally i think that the majority of the visit is made up by leon and his stories, without him and them, there is actually a massive amount there anymore if they couldve got the workshop back into steam it would have a lot more interest there. it would seem the family(ies) dislike the place and without their support i cant see the real interesting stuff ever coming back
