I have one but it is not what you are after sadly. It is a 6 jaw Pratt Burnerd plain back so has a back plate of which is a D1-6 at the moment.

It wasn't really although I haven't used it for years so when I saw someone wanting one I thought it might be worth offering it.Chuck for sale?
Do that all the time in both the manual and the CNC lathe although it is a small 3 jaw I use.Handy for operations like drilling square stock where accuracy isn't that important. Used to put a small 4 jaw s/c in the big 3 jaw that was usually on the Mascot.

You still get a lot of chucks with tapers, most are short tapers though such as the D'sAhh well - L1 stuff is very rare these days - I don't believe in back plates but I suppose most modern stuff has them?
I will have to look it out and see. I think I may have actually removed the back plate from it to put on the Forkardt I mainly use now.I'd be interested if you decide to move it on.

I got their email too, were hoping that ER collet chuck were on the list too but sadly not. I already have a 4 jaw independent and the usual 3 jaw chuck, I can see that a collet chuck provides more space and better all round grip on circular stock at least. Lol
I just put one of those square ER40 collet blocks in the 4jaw...........
I was just about to say that..I'd be interested if you decide to move it on.
I would really love a griptru chuck but they are very rare!
@doubleboost uses a s/c 4 jaw a lot. Maybe he can give us a bit more info on why he likes it. I've got one but I don't use it much. Maybe I should.
