My thoughts were exactly that. If ever you were under any illusions that F1 is anything more than a money-making machine, then that confirms it. Down-time at the end of the season gets whittled away every year and I can't imagine the teams get any respite during the season. And Liberty want to pump the season full of as many races as they can, as the entry fee they charge every team is based on the number of races. More races per season, a bigger wedge for Liberty.FIA confirm a 23 race schedule for 2021.
I like F1 but that seems an excessive number of races over what is going to be a 34 week season. The toll on the teams is going to be high, especially if they still have to adhere with the additional complications of covid.
