looking to buy a Diesel forklift 2.5 to 4 ton.....not easy in Crete.....not a lot of choice either.....
found a 2007, Clark, 2.5 tonner, Diesel, with 9000hrs, very clean...they want £8000 + tax.....
Have heard of Clark, anything to watch out for.....
would like a Toyota but nothing yet......
do the later model "D" engines have the same electronic crap as modern cars.........
Gas would be ok but need to drive over thirty miles to find a stockist for the g/bottles...just to inconveinient for a lifetime........
def dont want electric at that age or older....
for example have offered a 1989, Yale, D, with 9500hrs and they want €8000 inc tax....
which seems to me about double what its worth....????????
sugestions and advice.......please.....
usage will be very heavy for the first 6months then just a few times per week after the house and workshop is built....

Surely you'd be better off buying something in mainland Europe and getting is shipped over.
Even if transport cost you $1K you'd still be well up as i'm sure you could find something decent for sub $4K.

Don't write off electric. I purchased a decent well maintained Toyota with old batteries for £1900 delivered.
£1400 of new batteries has seen it as good as new (you can have these delivered on a pallet).

thanks guy's, LPG is just a pain only 1 place to buy gas n it's 30 miles away, even if u have a spare...pain in the ****.......
bit surprised at the cost of the new batts, only £1400.....
but still think Diesel is the way to go.......
if I went with the Clark...good or bad......

Clark are ok, they used to use Perkins engines and were pretty indestructible
