Anyone know of alternatives for 15 plate Fiesta, or do I have to gird the loins and approach the local dealer?

Flippin' local tyre man "fixed" the slow puncture in one of the other halfs tyres by changing the valve . . .somehow failing to notice the sensor attached to the inside of it before he chucked it . . .

you can get non genuine sensors, ive used intellisense made by huf i think, there are a couple different types, but you have to learn them into the cars computer either by following a sequence or by activating them with a tpms tool,

There is a built in battery in them, after about 5 years or a bad frost they start popping one after another

When we had a wheel refurbished (16 plate fiesta) the refurb company fitted a new sensor valve thing and was only a fiver or so.

Any decent motor factor place sells them.
kiwk Fit may have them in stock, but will soon get one.

I would be putting the problem into the hands of the person who created it. They have a Duty of Care under CRA2015.

$100 USD over here, shops will not put cheap ones in.

Thanks to wildatlanticwelder suggestion, two HUF sensors on their way to me as we speak.

My very decent local factors doesn't bother supplying them - points people at the dealer. Local dealer is one of those where you have to pass through reception when calling them - so two days later when I finally got a bloke in "parts" . . . expensive, and only one in stock.

All the tyre fitting places versions seem to have a crap reputation for fitting, setting up, longevity and cost.

Cheap ones seem to lead to multiple tyre removal sessions and all the hassle that involves to find one that works.

All for the sake of the EU deciding people couldn't use tyre pressure gauges - which, i guess, to be fair, most don't. but its flipping annoying for those who do, to have to replace the flippin things - its an MOT fail if the system flags a fault or missing sensors.
