I've got almost the same job to do on my 2cv. previous owner had used bits of tin and silicon glue to try and cobble it together. only got the bottom half of the toe board to do and the floor plates could be fixed with 1/4 panels but ecas have got complete floors on offer so going that way! going to get her running first so i can pull off the grass down side of house onto a trailer and into work!
what do i need to disconnect to lift the shell off?
speak to KEN HANNA "dyanut"( or something like it) on here he is getting lazer cut 1mm zintec floors cut and folded, superb quality those are the zinc plated ones from ECAS they are a bit thin and some of the spotted boxes were in need of re welding.
shell off? all the bolts along the floor edge the 4 out riggers the 2 under the seat the rear seatbelt mounts and then 2 bolts in the boot next to the lights.
Undo the lock collar on the steering column a 5 mm allen through the slot in the cast lock housing take a torch and lie on the floor peering up the collar will drop down after the dust cover has been removed ( if its still there). While your still down there fully depress the clutch hold the cable next to the bulkhead with pliers lift the pedal and disengage the cable end from the yoke
under the bonnet - brake pipes ( blank off the holes in the master with 2 M8 bolts) undo the r clips and pins on the gear lever and the handbrake, undo the lock collar at the base of the steering column and remove the bolt as its in a keyway, disconnect the battery and remove take the earth lead off the gearbox split the loom from the rest of the wiring at the big bunches of wires at the back of the lamp bar ( masking tape tags and write on them as folk often mess up the ignition feed with the indicator feed with hilarious results) then behind the RHS lamp take the r clip off the headlight adjuster and unscrew the rod and pull it into the cab( note the order of all the spacers and washers) back inside and try to pulll the steering column up it can be reallly stuck!
take the doors and boot off ( saves weight) and lift....ooh at the back disconnect fog light.
Ive done it before
