can someone clarify at what visibilty can you drive with fog lights?
Front fogs drive me insane, selfish idiots driving around in normal visibility with them switched on because they think it makes them look sporty.
Spanner in the works alert.
A lot of front fog lights now 'cannot' be turned off once you put the headlights on. Rear ones of course are a pain in the backside!
Headlights need to be switched off to maximise the benefit, so they don't illuminate the fog the driver is trying to see through.
I thought the ones you can't turn off were side lights not spots?
Front fog lights are not a testable itemInteresting: There is a poser along our road who loved his fogs/driving spots so much he wired them into his headlamps, the car failed it's mot because they were not on an independent switch.

That was his argument, the tester replied that because they came on with the headlamps they were no longer classed as independent fog lights, he appealed and lost.Front fog lights are not a testable item
As far as the test goes they don't exist.
