My dad currently has a couple of 'project cars' and both were originally hand cranked for starting, he's getting on a bit now and has realized that he probably wont be able to turn them over fast enough by hand to start them - especially since one is nearly 3 liter!
Any idea where we can look for ring gears and starters? Machining the flywheel's wont be a problem but buying ring gears based on size instead of make/model isn't so easy.
To give you an idea of one the cars I'm talking about, It a Buick Model 10 which should look like the one below when finished, its currently in about 500 pieces in 30 different boxes
