Flying lesson!

Hi,

following on from my exhausting exhaust on Monday...

our neighbour has a pilots licence and we talked last year of him taking my oldest grandson and myself on a one-hour flight over Scunny, over the Humber Bridge and out to Spurn Point, then back over Grimsby and on to the airport.

Said oldest grandson really fancied a flight, he mentioned it every time an aircraft passed overhead, and as he's only 11 years old I thought we'd set it up.

Well due to weather, work, school, etc, we didn't manage it last year.

Fast forward to last Monday when I did the exhaust on our neighbours sons car, I didn't charge him for it as it's my hobby. Also they put up with the odd bit of noise, and flashing of their kitchen lights when I strike up the arc, so I try to keep on everyones 'good' side.

Today my neighbour popped over with a voucher for one hours worth of beginners trial flight! I can take a couple of passengers too, so both of the oldest grandsons can go with me....

and I get to handle the controls too!

I'm absolutely stunned as I didn't expect anything. :-)

rebuilt a ride on mower engine for a m8 a few years back, a days work on me back, he said what do i owe you, oh get me some baccy i replied, he goes off to the shop comes back with 1/2 ounce of golden virgin and complained that it was expencive.

Ive got a relative with his pp license, and he's always on about building a landing strip in his field to fly over here with, his mrs has other ideas about using the money though I think
