My elderly Dad still drives but not far. As a result he's had to call for help a couple of times to start his car because the battery voltage was just too low and it was not charging up enough on the short journeys he was doing. So he bought a trickle charger and that solved the problem. All well and good. He's now thinking of installing a flying lead to the battery into which he can plug the charger lead so he doesn't have the faff of undoing and lifting the bonnet every time he connects the charger. My question is - do any of you have recommendations for such a lead or connection? We're talking about 2 feet long, weatherproof, something that could poke out of the front grill unobtrusively, easy to connect. Thanks in anticipation.
