Hi im new to welding and only have a cheap flea bay hobby 130 fluxcore welder. Please can someone give me some reccomendations on flux core wire.

    I have tried so far

Lincoln - nice but expensive and cant find it now for sale in uk.
Super 6 - tried it, then binned it, horribe nasty stuff
Clarke - for me this wire is as bad as the super 6
Sip - so far this has been my favourite that i am able to weld with.

Any other reccomendations are so much appreciated.
    Many thanks for your help.

All of those, except Lincoln, are rebadged....so could be different next reel

@TechnicAl i did read that somewhere, on this forum i expect.
Ive had three rolls of sip and all seems ok to me (total novice) maybe ive gotten lucky with them. For the price i wouldnt gamble on potentially getting a better roll of clarke and ill never buy super 6 again.

tbh Super 6 usually go for the cheapest available....you get what you pay for

Look for Lincoln Innershield NR211MP.......might find some for sale somewhere

£78 plus VAT from Rapid.......is that much more than SIF???

My flea bay hobby welder wont take the larger 4.5kg rolls i dont believe.

What is the Sif stuff like?
If you buy ten 0.45kg rolls from weldequip its the same price at the 4.5kg roll of lincoln from rapid.

You’re never going to get the results you’re looking for with gas less wire in a hobby fashion.

    Get a bottle of gas.

For the foreseeable fluxcore seems my only choice. I can only weld outside and its windy 90% of time at my place.

Thats gotta be worth a punt, no?

Isnt that the case with all wires though.

What is 5kg of parweld flux core costing?

I didnt think £17.50 for 2.25kg of wire to try out wasnt a bad deal.

    Thanks
    Adam
