    Is there a list of decent flux core wire on the forum?

    i have been trying to find some lincoln innershield but cant find anywhere that stocks it.

    Are there any that are just as good?

    Cheers are there any other brands that are as good as the lincoln stuff? or is this the best? not really tried much else.

    I use parweld flux core and I have had very good results.

    The potential problem with SIF or Parweld is that they arent manufacurers.....they just rebadge stuff.......so they can buy it from different manufacturers and one spool may not be the same as another.

    True yes. I have heard that before. I could of just been lucky and had a few good rolls.

    Yeah my machine can be set for electrode negative .... I was looking at reviews on this stuff but wasn’t sure about it might buy a roll of it and experiment.

    I'd only go for Lincoln NR-211-MP, it gives really nice results. Especially when you see the results of other attempts with different wires... The 0.5kg small reels don't break the bank either.

    I found Air Liquide Weld Team gasless wire to be superb. Mind you that was coming after several years of Super-6 hell.

    They are only Par on a Weld.Like on a golf shot not up to par.

    We've got Clarke flux-core in the Clarke MIG in the metal workshop at school; I'd love to know just how much better a decent flux-core would be. Alas I don't think I'd be allowed to spend the money I'd like to try some!
