Hi, I've just started welding with a Clarke 105EN recently and used up the spool of flux cored (0.9mm) wire that came with it with having some success welding car panels.
Previously I had a Powercraft welder which broke after about fifteen minutes and I had trouble making it work on the thin car panels (had to keep it on lowest setting and wire about 2" long otherwise it was too fierce). Now I had two spools of the Powercraft 0.9mm flux cored wire that I forgot the take back to the shop with the welder so I've started using this in the Clarke. The thing is with the powercraft wire it seems to be much fiercer than with the Clarke wire. Could the problems I had have stemmed from the wire rather than the welder?
