I am considering swapping over the fluorescent lights in my workshop to LED but not sure which way to go.
I have seen tubes such as these

But also have these types in the plasma shed and they are decent.

Obviously it would be easier to just replace the tubes but I am not sure if that can be done and searching the net just gets me more confused.
The type of fluorescent battens I currently have do not use the old style plug in starters so I presume they are the newer type electronic ballast style.
Would it just be a case of removing the ballast and wiring the tubes (in the first link) direct to the mains?
