3 weeks for me, think the cough bit is about done, I was pretty lucky, I only had one night when I felt really bad, the Mrs was not do lucky, she had flue jab, I didn't, what dies that mean, means bugger all, it's luck of the draw as to how bad your likely to become.

I certainly wouldn't recommend not getting the jab, I'm just willing to not have it yet.

Same here. Had a cough since I had COVID in 2022. I finally got rid of it last year the caught COVID in September. Guess what I've got again.

8 days and counting...caught visiting friends before Christmas and then came down with something on Christmas eve

I'm on the mend now but there's definitely something doing the rounds...oddly I lost my voice for a few days too.

Had a cough and feeling generally unwell for a few weeks, though it’s about gone now. Doubt it was proper flu I had though, more like a seasonal cold.

I’ve only had proper flu a couple of times, and I’ve been laid up each time. In my experience flu is levels of magnitude above a normal cold.

Agree... I am nearly 60 and I have only ever had proper flu once in my life...

Hot/cold - bed ridden - shivering then soaked in sweat - brightly colour vivid dreams - weak as a kitten for weeks afterwards... Proper dose of flu is not a party I want an invite to....

When I had Covid - tested positive and just lost my sense of taste for a few days...

I’ve had Covid twice, only felt a bit rough for a few hours, but tested positive for about a week. After the second time I lost my taste & sense of smell & it has never come back. After 2 years l don’t think it will.

I dread catching something like that, it would undoubtedly kill me. I have to sleep with a pressure breathing gadget all night as it is, as my lung muscles are wasting away and I can’t breathe when laying down. Trying to cough with this thing on is horrendous

I only heard of it back in the days of C-19, Mrs Robo was undergoing cancer treatment at the time and she had a letter from the NHS telling her she was, it did come in handy when booking home grocery deliveries, the list was full but when she gave them the number in the letter they had slots reserved for those :thumbup:

ive not had any flue injections or anymore covid . could get them free but ive had enough of getting crap pumped in to me so will take my chances only ever had the flue once . since stopping smoking i rarely get a bad cold mebbe 4 or 5 a year mildish ones

Don't understand why a lot of you are wasting your money on lemsip.

The only active ingredients are paracetamol, caffeine and vitamin c.
Have a cup of tea or coffee and take paracetamol and vitamin c pills, both of which are cheap as chips.

If you want a hot lemon drink buy the double concentrate no added sugar from lidl and have it with hot water.
