Flow Regulator, Needle Valve

Hi,

are there any problems using a needle valve flow regulator with argon/co2?

I have a nice quality co2 regulator from my aquarium, that's now redundant as I have bought another with a solenoid.



Only issue I can think of is the fact it maybe it cant supply enough gas through the needle valve?

it it will supply 10 litre per minute it will be fine

ok second question.

The regulator has a 1/4" BSP inlet which is fine. Although the 'hobby' gas bottles are 1/8. I bought this thinking I could screw that on the bottle then the regulator on top.

Then I realised I needed something in the adapter that presses the valve inside the gas bottle. Any suggestions?

Why not just get a small refillable bottle and benefit from cheeper gas and no headache !
