Floors/Inner Sill (Ford Capri) Advice

My floor pan quarters came from Magnum (+ somebody else?). They were a good starting point but took a lot of fettling before I could use them.
The curved lip around the edges wasn't quite right and the indents in the floor didn't match the indents on my chassis rails
I've been told many repair panels (floors & sills) are made to cover the rusted originals to get an mot pass, they are not made as direct replacements for factory panels.
Some suppliers offer "repair" panels (like mine) others offer "historical restoration" panels that are supposed to be identical to the factory originals. Quality & price will vary.

Considering the cost, terrible lead times and generally poor service that Expressed seem to be known for, I wouldn't buy from them either. I would make floor, inner sill and A-pillar panels myself.

The outer panels I would buy from HERE, who keep them in stock

I had to do the same repair to my Capri when I was about 16 in 2005. The seam underneath had bulged and rotted.
I welded a long piece of flat steel to the inner sill all the way along the repair which formed the basis of the new lower joint, a piece of angle to connect the floor to the inner sill and another bit of angle on the outer still to plug weld it to the bit i welded to the inner sill. As such the repairs were anatomical and solid. The front and rear ends of the sills were excellent hence why I patched the middle part of the sills.
It was much less daunting than replacing the entire sills and the repair lasted 5 years with me and is most likely still good!
