I have about 35 square metres of floor which is covered with a 2 pack (isocyanate) floor paint. I need now to go over it and would like to use a 2 pack epoxy again. Does anyone have any recommendations?
My workshop has Coovar 2 pack which is doing well after 20 years, the shed has International, too early to tell how it's lasting, it's only been down about 2 years.
don't by the cheaper stuff, looked good and clean - lasted around 6 months, then started cracking, once that happened, it was a free for all, holes in it all over the place now. From memory think this stuff was Alpina floor paint.... not very long lasting...
thinking I'd go floor rubberised floor tiles next time, more expensive maybe, but a more permanent solution for my workshop, but at 80m² of surface (not including the welding area) the tiles would be an expensive option...
Clean/degrease floor well as it will not apply well over grease. Vacuum to remove all dust.
It is sticky stuff. Thins up when warmer, but goes off faster when warmer. Have a couple of spare brushes available as the hairs fell out of mine half way through a pot. Even with a strong wrist from, er, youthful indiscretions, it is hard work to apply so mix it one pot at a time.
