Flat roof leak, caused by moss?

yours is easy if you grp it

but depends on your boards if they are rotten or not but if they are put slopers on the roof first and then put new boards on top of them and just grp it like the above video

and no planning permission is needed

Believe it or not the roof in fact has a fall with firings affixed perpendicular to the roof joists. Slope isn't much though.

I have a leaking garage flat roof 25 years (plus) old and it is more or less a replica of Morrisman's, sitting as it does below the house roof. I'd like to have it replaced with GRP which I have had good experience with in the past. What is the best time to get it done? I am pretty exposed in Cornwall but very low or high temps are rare however rain and howling gales aren't!

you need 2 consecutive dry days..1st to get it stripped,boarded and the mat and resin coat on including all trims, then the 2nd day the colour gel coat. If your on your own then 3 dry days but always try to get the gel coat on 24 hours after the resin at the most.

as above it dosnt mean you can depending on the weather

sometimes weve ripped roof off with light drisel and boarded on the second day its been grp'ed and then the coat afterwards but you need a good forecast for that

weve had to do all sorts to keep owners property dry if that means a roof sheet on the roof then thats what it will be

and as a roofer weve had to run the torch over the boards first before any coat has gone down on the boards

Thanks for that roofman and gaz. I would rather use GRP particularly because we are thinking of changing this intergral garage to a fourth bedroom. We would need to add the roof insulation necessary to bring it up to habitation spec.
