I did try. Indeed I have one currently but it's huge.

Finding a small one of them seemed harder than it should be as well.

Is there some "stuff" (like a thread lock with some body?) that I can put on the proposed fittings to "glue" them on?

I'm happy enough for it to never ever come apart.

There are lots of thread selants some better than others, but it depends on the fluid too. Id use ptfe tape on an npt thread and a lashing of

What's the black thread sealant called everyone recommends for oil tanks? That might do? Some hemp or something in addition to that might help?

could you get a threaded adapted that's about 19mm male and then just push the pipe over the threads, instead of a proper hose barb?

google says 1/2 inch bsp is about 21mm... might be a stretch but could work?

Who knows what the threaded sections of the exchanger will be made of. Special Chinese stainless nickel plated brass or something.
