Hi folks,
I’ve been stumped by a few jobs recently needing to get things really hot, and my propane torch isn’t giving me enough heat. I’d also like to have a go at brazing again.
I’ve looked at the Oxyturbo kits but all the feedback here indicates they cost a fortune to run.
Then I came across these torches which you can connect to a compressed air supply, and I have a compressor in the garage.

It would only be for very occasional use.
For instance, the job I’m stuck on at the moment is getting a 6mm dia steel pin red hot so I can form a rivet head on it - needs to be hot as it’s going into alu which would be damaged by cold forming.
Anyone got one of these torches?
Can they be used with MAPP or normal Propane? Can you change the heads for a finer flame?
Thanks
