Braver than me, using a vice that's not bolted down. Other than the crack in the lower adjustable yoke, it looked ready for work?
It was only in there to take a photo, I wasn’t heaving on it or anything ! there’s no crack in it either. it worked fine tipping an edge into a joggle, I just wanted to refurb it nicely. it’s now in primer with the bare metal polished up too Thanks for looking as always
i can see what you mean, it does look like it but it was filthy, there’s no crack in the part must have been something attached to the grime.
It’s almost ready to go back together, so I’ll get some more pics later. it’s going to be part payment for the Harrison too, as he came round about some other design work I’m doing for him, saw it and said I’ll have that
They work well but only on light gauge material. At 0.9mm the gears are losing mesh so bad they start skipping.
