I didn’t think Blodwyn did hospital visitshe could smuggle you in whatever Welsh delicacy it is you're missing possibly?![]()
I’ve got a furnace. What do you want to do?
Been reading ebooks on my phone mainly. What do you do in there @fizzy ? Sleep, read, do crosswords?
Do you have Netflix or Amazon on your phone etc?
Hospital food is a disgrace.
Prostate examinations? We can’t accept cows. Goats, sheep, horses ?
Everything and I mean everything seems to be outsourced, Contracted Out was the phrase when I was growing up and it still is that. A contract has been signed to supply 100 meals a day for ten years and the price will be £X.00, food prices go up, profits need to be maintaiuned, quality goes down, not THAT hard to work it out now is it.
Gas, electric, water, hospitals, trains, roads, schools,As some of you on here know I spend a good deal of 2019 in the local hospital after a serious injury, I (loudly) sacked the first consultant as he suggested he "would accept this level of deformity" (of my right hand), He was replaced with a terrific guy who cannot do enough but he was massively offset by the idiots. It seems to me the biggest issue in the NHS is the loss of "Matron", she always kept a tight rein on everyone and everything. Nowadays everyone is "empowered" and even the cleaners were trying to arrange my ward, the other big issue it seems to me is that we have "Managers" with little or no experience. These self same managers rid all the hospitals nationally of that "horrible dark copper looking stuff" , actual copper and now the buzzword is "deep clean", you mean under the sinks and stuff where the copper drains were? It doesn't take much joined up thinking there does it? to work out where it might have gone wrong. Though it seems to be for the Great Deep Thinking Ones.
I have been called twice to go for an injection into my hand, they want me to go in on the Sunday and take a PCR test, self isolate to the Thursday when an appointment will be made for me to have the cortisone injection. Now, I am certain everyone here will come to the same conclusion as I have, why cant they just give me the injection on the Sunday when I go in for the test, job done? Tick in the Far_too_difficult box for that one I think. Of course I am going to shut up shop for four days and sit around waiting. There needs to be a bit more respect here, we are being asked to "Clap for carers" and other such ludicrous initiatives yet nobody, but nobody gives two hoots for the average working man that actually finances the whole operation and we are ordered around like the proletariat with no say in the matter. As I said to one Hospital administrator as she was whinging on about "funding" "I don't administyer the place, I just finance it". She didn't get it, none of them do.
I am sure that will have cheered Fizzy up no end!
