I am planning to fit a new door skin on one of the doors of my MGB. The door is sound but dented.
The primer I will be using is epoxy on bare metal. As the skin has been in stock along time its original primer is being stripped off first as will the lip of the inner door pressing.
Should I prime the surfaces that will be hidden once crimped together before hand or will the paint crack off in the process making it pointless?
Also what do you think of a small bead of PU seem sealer trapped between the crimped surfaces? (I would apply sealer after in the normal way as well.)
