I always insist this is the last time - I hate painting. Takes too long. The real answer is probably not to share the workshop with anyone else, but I'm not sure how to do that without losing a friend.
Probably possible to do something with plastic sheets, but I'd worry about static electricity and sparks.

Though they are selling more on the internet these days, and the experienced guys (and lady) that used to be behind the counter are often occupied in the back room. They've taken on a couple of less experienced employees to staff the counter and it occasionally takes a couple of trips to convince them than anything out of the ordinary exists and that they really do stock it.
