Hi.
Following my post in the "Introductions" section, here are a few photos of my first mig welds...
The first welds (In centre) are sooty. I think this may have been caused by the shielding gas not yet getting through too the torch. I experimented with fine voltage and wire speed.
Rear of plate. Different levels of penetration.
When I was happy with the sound and feel of the machine, I laid a bead of weld, and attempted a capital B.
Rear of Plate. I think I moved to fast when welding the B.
