From reading various replies on here, gasless doesnt lend itself well to car bodywork.
I think it burns too hot for bodywork although some of the more experienced lads will correct me if im wrong.
My advice is buy the very best welder you can afford, if you dont, like me, then you will only end up upgrading in the future and spending more than if you'd bought the best at the time.
Most people buy two MIG's, the cheaper one they think and hope will do the job and then the one they should have bought in the first place.
If you buy a dual purpose gas/gasless then you always have the option.
One of the Clarke machines is often a popular choice and up to 150amps will work off the normal household supply..it may, but not always pop a fuse if used for longer periods on its maximum power.
A 150amp machine will also give you that little bit extra for the occasional job that crops up.
