Presumably when you strip out a boat the hull is still structurally sound, the same won't be said for the camper

Nope, when you have a shell of a boat there is flex. More than you think. All need bracing up. Not as much as a aluminium box but still thought into what is to be done.

Only involvement in boats was helping push a home built catamaran across a farmers field on mats and logs when i was 10 and launching it into the Tyne at high tide it was a long bloody day.

I jave had more than I care to think about lol.

I have been out to help folknthat jave Neen stuck with getting into a lock. Whay they did was gutbthe boat. So all structure.and the spread the beam and therefore couldn't fit through narrow locks. Just a hull unless supported properly will spread even more. And can happen on water.

I get your meanibutthough. but as at first
I will be doing it nit at a time working my way forward and using props.
I know how there made aswell. I used to work for Appolo Motrohomes many moons ago. Still shocked at what they've cost for a bit of batton amd plywood with poly in the middle.
