The mill scale is ground off I just used a 36 grit on the belt grinderNot so bad as first time , but I suggest less wire feed.
Grind the mill scale , it will work even better
172a on 0.8 mm wire,15% co2.the machine is semi synergic so it sorted the feed out. The metal is 6 mmwhat was the machine and settings?
According to:what was the machine and settings?
Ah yes never read that properly. Yes it's a parweld 255i had it a few weeks now.According to:
it is a Parweld XTM 255i.1.2mm ally setting on parweld 255i
Hi everyone. I recently bought a parweld 255i for welding both steel and ally. When cycling through the wire diameter settings as it's semi synergic, it only goes to 1.0mm or manual mode when you program it for aluminum. It's range is preset from 0.6 1.6mm. Any ideas why it won't let me...www.mig-welding.co.uk
Sorry but this is incorrect. The amperage is always the most important, but you also need enough voltage to set the arc length which controls the puddle and bead shape.for spray transfer i think that you need a least 26 v.
On mig welding the important is the voltage not the amperage.
HiHow soon after doing the first couple of passes did you do the last pass, to me, it looks like that the work piece was hot already, and that last pass got a tad too hot, judging by all the BB's, it also looks like the bead is slightly slumping towards the bottom of the weld, but that could also be torch angle, (or my eyesight ) apart from that, pretty good.
I'm not sure, I've only been welding 3 weeks.I have a Clarke 230TE. 0.8mm wire and pure CO2.
Does it have enough power for spray transfer?
I use it on 5 out of 6 on the power setting as it only has a 13amp fuse at the moment. If it can achieve spray I will stick a proper plug on it
200 amps is enough for 0.8mm wire with argoshield light, but only if it also has enough voltage at that amperage to clean up the transfer and stop the wire burying in the puddle. A lot of transformer welders suffer from voltage droop, the higher the amps the lower the voltage.I have a Clarke 230TE. 0.8mm wire and pure CO2.
