I have a migmate 120 and want to do a simple but useful/practical first project with it.

    What was your first project?

What would you suggest for a first job?

    Welding trolley

You can use it to move your welder and have tool storage underneath

I like the drawers on this but save dragging a bottle about and less chance it will fall over

My first Mig project if I remember correctly was a 1977 Vauxhall Cavalier in 1986! There are a few good threads on here for welding carts and trolleys, have a search through for inspiration.

You'll soon get tired of bending to reach the 'pull handle', and not having the tools you need right at hand.

Crack on and get a 'proper' trolley built, you'll thank us eventually. :D Great practise too......

It’s having to move it when working on a car or bigger project unless you have the longest torch lead known to man

The First project must Be something that can help you during welding
So a welder cart can be an option
An horse vise another option (I have to make one )
My first project was a chipping hammer because I stick weld
It last me 4 years of abuse ,the other day the weld did break down ,and now I have to repair it because is my first thing I put together and is very important to me ,is the classic inexpensive thing that you can also kill someone if he try to steal it or break
Nothing more than 50 cents of rebars but is one of my most important thing I have
    1 brass ground clamp
    2 quick vise clamp
This two are a remember of a friend of mine that is gone after combat the cancer
    3 my chipping hammer
This three things can make me in condition to kill if someone try to steal them
